About

I set up this journal to have a place to post pictures and record some of what I’ve seen, learnt and experienced out in Asia.

Originally I’d planned to use a bit of Facebook, Picasa and Wordpress.com but when I arrived in China found they were all blocked.

Hopefully the site will remain accessible so I can post from China and so friends there can take a look too.

It took me a while to get things up and running, so apologies for the delay.

In case you were wondering, all the photos on the site are mine (including the banner at the top of each page). If I use anybody else’s photos, I will credit them in the relevant post.

Alan sent me the link yesterday and I have already read through, once hastily, from your earliest posting and propose to work my way through again over the next days. Once I have done that, I will look at your blog every day or two to see how you – and, from Friday – you and Alan are getting on.
You write eloquently, Jon, and seem never to make the typos that are a feature of my emails. The pictures are meant for full screen (Well for my aging eyes, that is) and I think that I noted a ’slide show’ option which I will take.
Good Luck for the rest of your trip,
    Love B

Thanks Barbara. Hope there’ll be some stories of interest. Lots of love, Jonathan
